Sunday October 13 found me along the CPKC. I had deejayed a Birthday party in Sabula the night before. 
Empty grainer on the causeway into Savanna, IL 
Train 577 at Samoa
Loaded Rail Train for the Nitrin Branch at Princeton, IA

October 22nd I was on my way St Paul to see Iron Maiden but made a stop in Mason City and also at Manly, IA 

IATR across 19th St near AGP
Lots of color at the CPKC engine house in Mason City 
Southbound UPRR at Manly, IA

Wonderful outing with great variety.  Thanks for sharing some of the highlights you encountered.  Glad you caught the Iowa Traction out working.

Thanks for posting, K-Man.  Like the shot of the 2-8-2 at Boone.  I was glad to see they finally removed the Chinese stuff and it does look more like an American engine now.  

For those who care, on the Mills Tower model board, the blanked out line represent the Rock Island's Vinton to Iowa Falls line, taken out in the early 80's after a failed attempt at shotline operation.
