on the road again . . .

.   .   .   decided to head home today departing 28 degree Holbrook, AZ, around 0800 hrs with a planned stop at the nice overpass at Manuelito, NM, about ten miles west of Gallup. The one hour or so stop netted five trains in beautiful morning light starting with an eastbound Q train , then a westbound U ethanol train followed by two plus hours late Amtrak train number four   .   .   .    only three more   .   .   .

.   .   .   then another westbound Z train followed by an eastbound Z train after which I B lined for Romeroville, NM, arriving just in time to catch a two plus hour late Amtrak westbound train number three ending a nice quick four day 1300 mile jaunt. For some reason number three was ten cars long today. Always good to get out of the house.

Interesting couple of consists there with the NS/Warbonnets.  Nice catch with Amtrak too; I wish Russ and I had done as well when we were there.  Nice spot!
