Wow, Absolute nowhere. So different back east where we are hidden in trees!

'Drove up that way from Ely a couple of years ago.  Lot's of traces of the old NN line along the way, including some old hoppers and remnants of a water tank.  'Need to be careful after the rains, though.  The ground surface along the ROW in some of the valleys dries out, but it is like gooey quicksand two-inches below!  (Don't ask how I know that... LOL.)

If you ride the River Runner between St Louis and Kansas City, much of the route is over tracks built over 100 years ago and the level of the tracks is significantly below the grade level of the surrounding territory.  It's like riding in a ditch.  The sections along the Missouri River are very beautiful but that's not the balance of the line.  It's still a nice ride, though.
