Western Railroad Discussion > SP F7 questionDate: 11/13/24 14:04 SP F7 question Author: dragoon Did any SP/SSW F7s have a single headlight? Thanks!
Date: 11/13/24 16:11 Re: SP F7 question Author: GoldenState All SSW F7 unis had a single headlight along with their FTs.
There was one SSW FP7 that had a single headlight, Daylight painted 306. It was later transfered to the west and was repainted in scarlet and grey in 1958. On January 6, 1960 it became SP6462 and eventually received a new nose door with the lower headlight while working the commutes. the lower headlight would have been located. Daylight painted 306 pulled the last pax train from Tyler in May of 1956. Date: 11/14/24 09:46 Re: SP F7 question Author: PHall The other big difference with SSW 306/SP 6462 was that it did not have dynamic brakes.
