Western Railroad Discussion > Complementing (oyw's) A&C shots, Day 1.Date: 11/13/24 17:45 Complementing (oyw's) A&C shots, Day 1. Author: SPgoletablock I arrived a day earlier (Saturday) than Bob and Mike so that I could do a little scouting around in the Hope Az. area some 50 miles East of Parker Sunday morning. Having found a few angles I liked I headed back midday Sunday to Parker Az. to meet up with the guys. I rented a minivan and didn't drive my truck, so no Cadiz Rd. for me. They really wanted me to go with them so I squeezed (actually was really comfortable) into the backseat of Mikes 2 door Jeep for the chase West. Got some similar angles as Bobs great shots so I will hold off on those.
- On our short wait for the turn at Freda I looked around for some date nails in the sidings ties and quickly found 2 that were loose enough to pull out by hand. - Then we were off to Cadiz Rd. Mike did an awesome job navigating the rough areas of the road and the sand wash at Milligan, we made great time! - We bagged a few shots along the way that Bob posted a short while ago. Arriving at our final spot of the chase (Chubbuck) Bob jumped out where he wanted to be and Mike was gracious enough to hustle me about 3/4 of a mile West. I scampered up the hillside as the train and afternoon shadows were moving in fast (Old Woman Mountains in the backdrop). Date: 11/13/24 18:30 Re: Complementing (oyw's) A&C shots, Day 1.
