Home from Topeka (again)
Author: santafe199

I’m almost as passionate about the rock/pop music I grew up on as I am about my hobby as a railfan photographer. A while back I had an experience that triggered yet another memory of a song from years past ( Take the Long Way Home ♪♫ ). It’s something I enjoy doing, and it seems to be popular with quite a few fellow TO friends & contacts. Here’s another trip home to Manhattan slightly re-routed down the old Rock Island GSR. This is actually a pretty common thing with me, but there’s no music this time... ;^)

1. & 2. UP 7665 westbound on a manifest at the Buffalo Mound Rd crossing west of Maple Hill, KS.

Contrary to the result in my link, today’s meet allowed me to get ahead of the 7665:
