Not everything goes as planned
Author: Denverrails1

I was driving back from Golden passing Coors and noticed that the BNSF was making up the "Beer Train" so I thought I'd stop and take a picture or two. It became obvious that there was some problem as the switch move had stopped and being a retired railroader I wondered what was the problem. In a short while a supervisor showed up in a truck and the second picture shows him talking with the engineer. Not sure what the problem was but I didn't have time to hang out to see how it might be resolved.

I can tell you from past experience that no problem occurs on a beautiful June morning but rather a day like this with snow and cold to make it much more fun

It looks like they're shipping via BNSF reefer cars.

So my question is, are those cars capable of also keeping shipping items warm to prevent freezing?

Yes, the temperature can be adjusted.
