Western Railroad Discussion > CSX power coming through the BluffsDate: 01/07/25 08:50 CSX power coming through the Bluffs Author: santafe199 I was on my way up to visit fellow TO pal Jim Will in Leavenworth. Even in crappy weather I never leave home without my camera. Sure enough, Murphy’s Railfan Law made sure I found something out of the ordinary to shoot. CSXT power on the point of a UP train in Kansas is always worth a look. So here’s a very dark shot on my way up to Leavenworth. Hey, this is what they made Photoshop for... :^)
1. CSXT 160 leads a UP manifest westbound through Calhoun Bluffs NE of Topeka, KS. Photo date: October 13, 2018. Thanks for looking! The scene looks like it was taken in hilly Maryland not the flat billiard table Kansas is rumored to be.
Gonut :) Date: 01/07/25 10:38 Re: CSX power coming through the Bluffs Author: ns2557 Lance, Good shot. That 2nd unit looks like an NS Unit, GE at that. If ya look hard enough, close enough, it looks like the "lines" of an NS symbol. Thanks for sharing. Ben
