Cowl units in southern Nevada over the weekend
Author: F40PHR231

Following up on the open house announcement: https://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?1,5988980

DynaRail's #231 and #6976 operated throughout the weekend doing a mix of weekend train as well as light power runs, yard switching, and non-revenue demonstrations for pictures at Nevada State Railroad Museum Boulder City. It was a gorgeous weekend with perfect blue skies, hardly a breeze, and great turnout!

Pics of Amtrak 231 at Railroad Pass crossing I-11; passing the casino and truck stop, and next to a narrow gauge steam locomotive at the museum's backlot.

Video of 231 doing the same type of trip from last September is at https://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?4,5926092

Photos of former Amtrak SDP40F turned Maersk-Sealand SDF40-2 at Railroad Pass, the casino, and out on the line during the sunset hours.

F40PHR231,
Thanks for sharing a really nice series showing good imagination, particularly the second and third shots.

Does the SDP40F have an engine or is it a "Dummy"?  Some nice pictures.
