Western Railroad Discussion > Right Now: Eastbound UP Stalled In Auburn, CA For Many HoursDate: 05/04/25 21:13 Right Now: Eastbound UP Stalled In Auburn, CA For Many Hours Author: donnerpass Eastbound UP automobile train pulled up to Bowman control point on track #1, 4 or 5 hours ago and hasn't moved. It's still blocking Luther Road. This happens occasionally due to traffic on track #1 east of the Bowman control point, but not for this long. Anyone know what's going on? This is on the Donner Pass line, just east of Auburn, California.

We would never have done that unless there was an issue with the train. Seems UP thinks it can inconvience the public when it wants to. Seen a crossing in Chiloquin, Or blocked for hours.
