We saw 3985 arrive in Jeff City at approximately 1425. We drove ahead to Chamorra (probably spelled that wrong), bout halfway between Jeff & Hermann, arriving at approximately 1520. Left at 1710 after the light was gone, no steam engine.

Saw two westbound UP trains, nothing east.

Where did 3985 get bogged down? Sure glad I decided to go to Jeff City instead of St. Louis to see it arrive....
