30 years from now, we will look back at our pictures and what will we see, something like this?

2034 to ponder?
Author: LesWhite

get your drift re your picture.....gosh in 2034 myself and i presume many of us here will be nearly 80 or at least 70.....the old fingers might not be as sharp hitting the keyboards on the internet i fear unless they invent something better.

the north american rail industry in 30 years is something to ponder as would the trucking industry and hopefully terrorism will be a thing of the past..

CD-ROM??? DVD???? What is that???
Author: Dash

More than likely when we are old and decaying anything in the shape of a compact disk will be ancient. We may wind up with just a bunch of disks with labels and us asking "I wonder whats on these...."

Just as I am able to transfer my VHS to DVD I'm sure I will be able to do the same to whatever media comes down the road.
And as far as labling goes, when the screen comes up. I was able to program each section of the disk to tell me what is on it.
such as.

SF y/b SD40-2, W/b 9-44cw, gen mer.
SP AC4400cw, AC4400cw, C&NW AC4400cw.coal drag.
and so on.

The disk's run time can be 1hr.2hr.4hr or 6hr.
1hr has the best picture 2hr is great and 4hr is still very good but 6hr is very bad.
