The planned arrival is from Cleveland and Toledo on NS but NS has required that the 2816 be escorted by a diesel while on NS track. Once on CPR track in Chicago the 2816 will again run on the point. The planned stop in Chicago will be at Bensenville Yard for the nights of June 14 and 15. On June 16 she departs Bensenville Yard for Milwaukee and St Paul with an overnight in Portage.

Author: toledopatch The last I read, it's supposed to be going Toronto-Cleveland on the 13th, and Cleveland-Chicago on the 14th. I imagine the routing will be via the former NKP east of Cleveland, and the former NYC west of Cleveland. It's also conceivable that the diesel escorts will be the heritage-paint F units and GP38-2, since they've been on the tour with the 2816.

Actually the F units and GP38-2 will not be going with the 2816 to Chicago. They are running right now in Southern Ontario, (http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?2,740326) and then heading up north on the Northern Ontario line to Mactier on Sunday, and then heading from Mactier to Calgary dead in Tow on a train or go to Calgary as a Deadhead move.
