Begs for a caption
Author: pmack

This photo just begs for a caption. It looks like an abandoned track but the railheads are not rusty. In fact it is the "main line" of the Ballard Terminal Railway in Seattle.

After re-election, the GW Bush administration reclassified street side vendor jobs as manufacturing jobs thus calming Wall-street fears to less money to scoundrel away on bad investments.

GW Bush says this photo best captures Americans living the life of Philippianos, right here in America! After all he says: “Its hot there, and its nice to have over-worked, over heated workers right here in America.” “It is homey to have your own down-trodden, over-worked folk’s right here in America!”

Hi!

Buy foreign, work foreign.

Would you pay more for a product that you made?

I'd give it the caption, one American stopped whining and got back to work!

Tony Burzio,

After giving up on the American Dream, this "blue collar" American worker accepts his fate. He adopts the third world model, and becomes a street vendor.

Good stuff! You're absolutely right, stop the bitching, and just move on to the American 21st century dream, patterned after the third world model.

Hail to MR. Tony Burzio!

I don't get it. What do Filipinos and Americans and politics have to do with this picture?

The point is, some ding-bat (presumably an American ding-bat) set up a fruit stand in the middle of a railroad track. Wait until a train comes along, and you mgiht be able to get the cherries pre-crushed! Even if this is abandoned track, it sets a bad example.

Logic is a beautiful thing. Chaw on this:

Those mile long double stack trains
pull out of Los Angeles every day.
On the return, we all assumed that
the returning trains were bare table
or empty stacks. They are really
carrying a full load of jobs for
export. Ergo, it's the railroads
with their easy transportation of
goods that makes manufacturing job
exports possible? Hmmm...

(Actually, the later poster is right,
it's only a fruit stand... :-)

How is this for a caption....
"Fresh Cherry preserves for sale" or "Cherry compote anyone"
Just my two cents worth.

Finally, someone with a sense of humor. I think Ballard Terminal only operates at night and early morning, thankfully for the fruit guy from eastern WA.
