Greetings all,

Could anyone possibly give me some tech data on the B 30-7s or turn me onto a website that has the info?

Particularly needed:

Weight

Wheelbase

total lenght

Minimum Curvature

The B30-7 was produced from Dec. 1977 to May 1981

199 total built

62'2" total length

has a 7FDL16 prime mover

3000 horsepower

GTA24 alternator and 752 traction motors

Weight between 253,000 and 280,000 depending on railroad.

Not to be confused with B30-7A, B30-7AB, or B30-7A1 models. These were later improvements on the original.

The B30-7A, B30-7AB, and B30-7A1 were 12 cylinder locos that were very similar to the B23-7. The only six axle versions were the 50 Conrail C30-7A locomotives.
