Western Railroad Discussion > Railfanning east from Spokane....brief reportDate: 09/25/04 13:12 Railfanning east from Spokane....brief report Author: jbwest Went east from Spokane last week. MRL folks confirmed monaddave's report that the blades between Spring Gulch and East St. Regis would be gone within a week or two, probably before the 4449 goes by but who knows. Caught the erstwhile "WP" F-unit on the Montana Daylight. At St. Maries the SMRR ran a Clarkia turn on Tuesday and returned with 74 log loads. Camas Prairie was busy, with Wednesday's train from Ayer coming in two sections. Kooskia turn was run on Thursday. Highlight of the trip was an over and under shot as Joso (UP and Camas). Many thanks to Alco251,czephyr17, and monaddave for some earlier posts with excellent advice and info.
