Rather than focus on the summer's expanded period of daylight, it's time to seek autumn's brightly colored leaves.
I caught this BNSF Denver-Stockton train in Price River Canyon a couple of weeks ago. The red and orange oak brush around Lynn were pretty much peaked out, but the quaking aspens were saturated in the upper reaches of Price Canyon, especially between old Nolan and Kyune. In this image, the BNSF 4859 West heads through one of the twin "Nolan" tunnels, about 3.5 miles above Lynn... Local railfans long ago named this segment of the mainline the "gooseneck"...

This location is found just east of the east switch Kyune center siding.
