Western Railroad Discussion > BNSF in Wyoming where the dogies and antelope roamDate: 10/29/04 08:48 BNSF in Wyoming where the dogies and antelope roam Author: frontrangeflyer BNSF's front Range Sub. wanders far from the beaten path on its way from Cheyenne to Chugwater, WY. On October 14th, train MDENLAU1-14A is passing Federal (MP139.15) and will continue to the crossing of Lodgepole Creek, Horse Creek, the descent of Altus Hill, Chugwater, and on to Casper where this crew is through. By the way, I'd say that the interesting structure was probably provided by the railroad for a section hand residence. . . Joe S.

Compared to here in the Northwest with all the trees, etc..., you are lucky if you can get any of the cars behind the power! This shot also I think has "Wyoming" written all over it, taken in late April '99 from the county road overpass at Walker at the south end of the Orin line. Five trains in 90 minutes, 3 loaded, 2 mty's. That place is something else. Steampower |
