This is two photos "stitched" together. First time I've tried that. Shot Saturday Morning. My first time seeing this great Locomotive in person.

Very, very nice, and seamless, too!

Of course, it helps that this is my favorite view of a locomotive.

Does everyone get to see this view or were you granted special access?

Was it done with Photoshop?

In cab tours were being given to people under special circumstances. Due to the large volume of people, it was not possible to give everyone an in cab tour, so most are viewing the cab from the view platform set up adjacent to the cab on the fireman's side. This platform was also used by the 5th graders earlier in the week for part of their lesson dealing with locomotive operations and safety.

Having that head-end "FRED" box there just kills the view! (The radio is ok.) Great picture, and a great job!

Actually, that is not a "FRED", that is the foam meter for measuring foam in the boiler and was part of the original look of the cab from 1941.

Definitely something that only a few get to enjoy. My kids got the cab tour today as well as the usual free t-shirts and hat pins. The 3751 crew are some great people.

Thanks SBRHS for everything today.

JDC: I see the "foam meter" in the middle, I'm refering to the "FRED" box just above the road radio. On the right side, with the red 'toggle switch cover' on it. In this view, the only items that I see that are "new" to the locomotive are the radio and the "FRED" box.

Again, thanks for the pic........

Hey guys: Did anyone see the "Godfather" aka "Iotola" Cipolla near the 3751?

Just checking.

Nope, He has not been associated with the 3751 since 91 and we have not seen him since.

The picture was stitched together with the zoombrowser software that came with my Canon A75 digital Camera. It was too easy. First time I've tried it. All I did was pick the two pictures and tell the software which belongs on which side and it did the rest. It was amazing.

Glad you enjoyed it!!
