Author: pacificeclectic I run out of fingers at 5, but what are they counting, or I suppose, it makes a difference where you count? I'm not sure how there are five of six closed, unless something unreported has happened on Saugus or Tehachapi. Open lines UP LA to Riverside to ex SP Sunset Colton and east. ex SP Saugus Line to Tehachapi Closed lines LA&SL (wash out in Meadow Valley Wash, north of Las Vegas) ex SP Palmdale Cutoff (Cajon Pass, above washout) ex SP Coast line ex SP LA to West Colton (wash out at Kaiser) Date: 01/12/05 15:14 Re: News Item: 5 of 6 UP lines severed? Author: pacificeclectic "UPRR Has 5 out of 6 Lines Severed in LA Basin" was the header here.

No question that there are outages and will be for a while. Date: 01/12/05 17:50 Re: News Item: 5 of 6 UP lines severed? Author: AZSP I heard yesterday that the Saugus line was closed, which would be the fifth. Can anyone confirm?
