Nice shot of our favorite spot on the whole railroad. Hopefully the nearby developments won't encroach too quickly.
Have to agree with JLH, would be nice to have the newbie heading east that morning light.

Almost looks pre '90's with the lack of ditch lights, I thought they were mandatory.

By golly you are right about the lack of ditch lights - I saw the headlight coming from afar yesterday and didn't even think about ditch lights. I thought also that they are mandatory by now, does anybody know for sure? You don't suppose this is listed as an excursion or special-use engine, do you? - - - - JLH

Ditchlights are not a requirement, but train speed over road crossings is restricted to 20 MPH if not equipped.

What is your gear?

This is one of the sharpest images I have seen here. Maybe the clear air there?

Anyway, what did you use to shoot and get image on site(ie software).

Well, they managed to turn the Johnstown consist, the SD-9 is in the lead again eastbound, and the leased UP GP-38 is facing west. As of today, the new paint geep is still arranged as per the CZ shot. - - - JLH
