Western Railroad Discussion > ATSF Info Please . . . 44 tonDate: 09/27/01 11:31 ATSF Info Please . . . 44 ton Author: v1perfan Hi Folks,
Can someone give me some info on this locomotive? Its a Davenport 44-Tonner, ATSF #451, but I can't find any info on it. I have 44-Tonners listed in my roster 400, 450 and 460 to 468. However, I don't have anything on 451. If anyone could provide some info, I'd appreciate it!! Thanks! Brian. Brian. Date: 09/27/01 14:13 RE: Whats the location... Missouri?? Author: WichitaJct I beleive that is the Newton Kansas depot. I think the 451 worked there for sometime before it was retired. Santa Fe had a rail mill there ?

I'm pretty sure I've seen that photo in a book or two - have to go home and dig out Morning Sun's _Santa Fe 1940-71 In Color_ books tonight - it may be in Vol. 2. |
