I was guessing Sir. Highgreen was in the general area. Nice to see the 2 Grandes are on each end so you can get the train going both ways and get you D&RGW. Tuesday is definetely the day to shoot that train as it makes for much more of a chase when they go to the cement plant. These days I'm busy on Tuesdays so if I want to do the UP local I can only get it at as far as North yard which I've done enough. The snow sure helped the shots up there as I bet without it it was getting a little bleak. The UP local sure adds nice variety to life up there in Tree City, without it things would sure be a little different.

Sir? Yup, I was there and convinced him to walk up the tracks a ways. My shot of the day was up at the cement plant after he had left, backing up around the curve over the plate girder bridge, with the steep grade evident in the background. They had the ex-GW SW-7 121 fired up, also, helping to switch the cars from the other end. They had to make three shoves back and forth with a total of 48 loads. - - - - - - JLH

Still why can't they grab that other DRGW at La Salle and put the 3 together? Just exchange the UP with the DRGW and were set. That will for sure get me up there on a Tues.

They've been running up to the plant on occasional Wednesdays and Thursdays too....it's been busy up there!

One possibility that we'll have to keep an eye on, the UP 754 had an engine door open...maybe it'll catch the flu bug and we can get a pure DRGW set someday....

My offer of a box of donuts for the crew if they put on all 3 D&RGW's still stands, trouble is, it has stood over two years...

Oh, don't grovel. One thing I can't stand is people groveling. And don't apologize! Every time I try to talk to someone, it's "sorry" this, or "forgive me" that, or "I'm not worthy". It's like those miserable psalms, they're so depressing. Now knock it off!

Seen "Holy Grail" over 300 times. The most underrated comedy of all time. Oh, yeah, the DRGW stuff is nice, too... ;-)
