...have been showing up on the BNSF the last few days, on the point, westbound from East Dubuque on grain trains off the CN. Hasn't been unusual to see IC SD40-2s show up, but have never seen those in the lead.

Presently have a couple headed west from KC, both in trail after having units added here. IC 1003 is on a GDEUHER, 1009 is on the GEDUAMS.

Got tipped off to these things in the wee hours last week, passed an empty grain eastbound out of KC with 1003-1009-CN5605 as sole power.

In talking with some old IL fan buds, never have known these things to stray from "home" territory before.

Something to watch for in the increasingly droll BNSF fandom.

Saw a CN GE dash 8 or dash 9 (could only see the rear 2/3) in the BNSF yard in Pueblo on Thursday. Haven't seen CN down here in some time.
