But be careful posting things like that. You are apt to give half the board such a bad case of nostalgia it may do them in! - Kit Date: 03/02/05 00:05 Re: beets Author: tmengineman And the other half will just go "huh?"
In Santa Ana on the site of a former sugar beet factory there is now an Embassy Suites. I remember when they built that they were using a revolutionary technique... On the 4th floor a wall that was being lifted up caved in on a worker and he was a fatality. The construction site sat dormant for several days while the investigation went on.... The factory footprint is still in some form of ag service as CalAvo has an office there(n/w of SP r-o-w). Common mistake--just my 2cts(not remembering how to squeeze a cent sign out of my dollar key) Date: 03/02/05 08:16 Re: beets Author: spider1319 CAFTA is being introduced to Congress this year having been held off from public exposure during the presidential election in November.Lou Dobbs on CNN (weekdays 8:00PM) is giving the CAFTA proposal lots of exposure and revealing it as another American job loss proposal. From a railfan point of view it would have widespread job loss in Louisiana sugar producers and heavily impact the Louisiana and Delta R.R.
