Western Railroad Discussion > Former WP 89' Flat @ South San Francisco, CA.Date: 04/30/05 22:47 Former WP 89' Flat @ South San Francisco, CA. Author: fjc For all the freight car types on the forum here, I present the following image(s) which were recorded at South San Francisco, CA. yesterday on 04/29/2005. I happened upon this car one day when passing it on a northbound train I was working, I didn't put too much into the SFS reporting marks, then noticed the small Feather River logo in the middle of the car and then discovered it's lineage.
Here are links to various images I recorded, I'm hoping to perhaps get some better up close images at some point as the car has been sitting in the yard with switch parts on it for over a week now, would be nice to know the former number of this car if anyone has that information. And who or what RR is "SFS"? Thanks, Frank http://www.railsaroundthebay.net/miscellaneous/042905/sfs122_ssf2.jpg http://www.railsaroundthebay.net/miscellaneous/042905/sfs122_ssf3.jpg http://www.railsaroundthebay.net/miscellaneous/042905/sfs122_ssf4.jpg http://www.railsaroundthebay.net/miscellaneous/042905/sfs122_ssf5.jpg http://www.railsaroundthebay.net/miscellaneous/042905/wp_logo2.jpg http://www.railsaroundthebay.net/miscellaneous/042905/wp_logo_ssf.jpg http://www.railsaroundthebay.net/miscellaneous/042905/sfs122_ssf.jpg Date: 04/30/05 23:37 Re: Former WP 89' Flat @ South San Francisco, CA. Isn't that the one that Michael Gross helped start? Looks like you could use some better drainage there next to that SFS car ;^) |
