Western Railroad Discussion > Into the SunsetDate: 05/19/05 19:59 Into the Sunset Author: jmw Riding into the sunset with three GP-9's and 33 loads on the Copper Basin Railway.
This is the "Local" from Hayden Jct to Magma Jct, AZ on May 11, 2005. JMW http://www.arizona-rails.com Date: 05/19/05 20:26 Night Shot - Magma Jct Author: jmw This is a view of Magma Jct, AZ looking directly east along the Copper Basin Railway's ROW. I used GP-9 #208's short hood as a platform for this time delayed "exposure." The vibration from the old geep's 567 engine blurred the shot a bit.
The track to the right is the UP's Phoenix Sub and the red indication warns of an approaching WB headed toward Phoenix from Picacho Jct. "Jake" sure runs a slick operation!
Regards Q-GP30 Date: 05/21/05 01:55 Re: Into the Sunset Author: MagmaJctAz All this time, I never knew you worked for the CBR. Perhaps sometime in the next month or so I'll visit Magma Junction. If you see a silver Nissan extended cab pickup, that would be me.
