Riding into the sunset with three GP-9's and 33 loads on the Copper Basin Railway.

This is the "Local" from Hayden Jct to Magma Jct, AZ on May 11, 2005.

Night Shot - Magma Jct
Author: jmw

This is a view of Magma Jct, AZ looking directly east along the Copper Basin Railway's ROW. I used GP-9 #208's short hood as a platform for this time delayed "exposure." The vibration from the old geep's 567 engine blurred the shot a bit.

The track to the right is the UP's Phoenix Sub and the red indication warns of an approaching WB headed toward Phoenix from Picacho Jct.

Where else in 2005 can you find GP9's in clean glossy paint, man those units look like they came fresh from the paint booth. "Jake" sure runs a slick operation!

All this time, I never knew you worked for the CBR. Perhaps sometime in the next month or so I'll visit Magma Junction. If you see a silver Nissan extended cab pickup, that would be me.
