Author: DaveL Ain't weather wonderful....5 days ago the UP was running 'escorts' in the canyon because of heavy wind and lots of rain. Today from 12:00 until 21:00 a level one heat restriction is in effect between Oroville and Portola...(air temp should be in excess of 80deg f).

In deference to the Poet Robbie Burns beware that the significant changes in temperature will bring about the dreaded broken rail season, as it always does. Hope it's a mild one this year. Lake Shasta was to the tree branches over the weekend, river is running very strong, almost watch the boulders moving downstream. |
