Author: Pinlifter I was up at sherman hill today and didn't see a single train in 3 hours! Last time I was up there I couldn't keep the camera in the bag. Anyone know of maintenance windows or reroutes in effect? Or was I just there at a bad time of day? Thanks for any info.

I go to what I hear as busy mainlines and sit for hours and see absolutely nothing. Probably just up the track and around the bend would be the site of maintenance going on, but I wouldn't know it.

Throw in a dead motor someplace on a stalled westbound and things can get slow for a couple hours. Hopefully someone else knows if there was a mishap somewhere or not.

Author: ProAmtrak Sounds like when I was hanging around Tunnel 2 a few weeks ago, caught only 2 headed to Bakersfeild, wondering what was up, found out on the way back home through Cable and seeing MOW on one of the mains, so at least I found out what was up just looking at the right places!
