Green Goat in Roseville
Author: chrisb

As I was munching on my tuna on a roll from Round House Deli in Roseville, this odd looking switcher is coming my way toward the diesel shop and parking nose first under the scalfolding framework in front of Bay 8. What! No Stack! Lots of engine panels and vents. After digesting my lunch I whip out my binoculars and see that it is UPY 2004 with Nine "short stacks", actually domes, on top. This "Green Goat" is "Yellow" with small UP shield on side. Lettered on the side it reads: "Low Emissions/Diesel Hybrid/Switching Loco."

Also spotted today unpatched AC4400 SP 373 with Norfolk Southern 9661. They later headed eastbound as 3rd and 4th unit with the usual yellow stuff. Perishables and boxcars with one flat of what appeared to be chemical containers.
