The GCRy (Grand Canyon Railway), however, does have there steamers set up so that they may 'MU' a diesel to them. They need an > engineer on the helpers. That's not excatly right. They can control power but not dynamic brake. This is true for the 3985 but not sure about the 844. The 3985 is equipped for throttle control and the 844 is wired for it at the moment but the control is not installed. Later this year, the MU installation will be completed on the 844.
