MPRDM/DMPR and MPRCB/CBPR are almost always powered by C40-8's or SD40-2's; sometimes a mix of the two. MDMDM usually gets either a pair of Dash 8's or 40-2's. Many of the grain trains that originate on the Iowa Grain Branch system are also powered by 40-2's. Iowa really is a great location to catch solid standard cab units, but even here they are fading before our eyes. Nice shot Richard. -Justin RapidsRail.com Date: 08/28/05 00:59 Re: last weeks photo Author: rrnut_99 Same for northern Illinois Justin. The CNW ATC would probably be the most likely reason for them being common here.
