Haven't heard to much lately about this shortline, Is it still up and running. Visited there last year and got mini tour From Mike.

Yep, it's still running, traffic seems to be about the same except they don't go to Foster anymore from the reports I got. The Bauman mill is the east-most customer on that segment.

Did the Foster mill close or are they just not
using rail anymore.

Foster Mill still open but will shut down sometimes if there is no market for the veneer. Lots of trucking down to Springfield and other places.

AERC continues to operate to Sweet Home, but not to Foster. Weyerhaeuser shut down the plywood operation and only handles veneer. Most of the veneer goes via short haul truck to the Engineered Wood Products plant at Millersburg. We gave Weyerhaeuser a good rail rate, but Weyerhaeuser wants to keep their trucks busy. Business is better than last year when we handled over 6,500 loads.
