Steam & Excursion > Breakheart Pass film locationDate: 11/16/14 18:42 Breakheart Pass film location Author: switchlamp I just saw the movie last night on Netflix. It was shot on a train all the way through. Beautiful scenery. Anyone have details of the equipment used and so forth. Did they wreck a real caboose and cars or were they props ?
Thank you, Tom Date: 11/16/14 18:55 Re: Breakheart Pass film location Author: RJRimmasch Kamas Praier Branch in Montana.

https://goo.gl/maps/gbuue According to Rieger's 'The Camas Prairie, Idaho's Railroad on Stilts', They built a shoofly and short piece of bridge and launched the caboose off into space so it looked like it was jumping the tracks. |
