Steam & Excursion > Black & White Photo Dump, 1992 - 2025

My introduction to railroad photography was in black & white books: Lucius Beebe, Don Ball, etc.  Black & white became to my eye the look of the vintage era.  I started dabbling in the format in 1992, and have continued off and on ever since.  This will be a mass dump, so stand by as this will be quite a few posts worth to go through it all.

Looking back on all the great photographers, I wouldn't say I stand on the shoulders of giants.  Rather I stand in the background, hoping to occasionally see under their armpits.

I disagree.  In my opinion. you are standing alongside them.  These are excellent photos.  Thanks for sharing them.
