Steam & Excursion > Trains Unlimited Hits A Steam Home Run!!!!

Just completed two separate photo specials put on by Trains Unlimited. Their representative, Ron Burkhard, had really done his homework and in total we got
very close to 40 runbys in at a variety of spots. First we did two days on the
Cumbres & Toltec and then headed for Durango and two days on the Durango &
Silverton. The Aspens were just changing color and are a BRILLIANT yellow.
We mostly got sun with a little rain on the first trip and then some great
snow on the second trip. Both the crews were just fantastic and did their
best to please us. I was also lucky to catch double headers prior to each
of our photo specials on each of the two railroads. I just can't say enough
about how well Trains Unlimited did on these two photo specials. I have been
on both these railroads before but have never had more fun OR got better images.

I was part of this group as well as the Cumbres
opportunity. I planned for extra days on both
railroads to chase and to ride as a tourist. I
was rewarded by two separate double-headers on
the Cumbres AND also the Durango. Great video
of these "old beauties" doing their magic up
in the San Juans. Just glad I was there for
both events.
