Chasin SP 745 today
Author: Sneebly

Ran KC Union Station to Birmingham MO. on BNSF, where WATCO will then take up to LIberty, where it will be on display for a town festival this weekend. Sometime next week it will make a trek of like 10 miles to Kearney MO, which last saw steam in 1964 and is now a dead end branchline. This trackage was originally CBQ. Of note is that North of Liberty at 116th ST crossing is one of only 2 wig wags in the state of Missouri.

Wonderful pictures of a big success! I don't understand though why SP745 will not be in KC when 844 rolls thru. Seems like a missed rare, if ever, meeting. If indeed, she comes back down from Kearney in time, please advise.

Part of the problem is the construction of the new pedestrian bridge from Union Station over the tracks to the frieght house area. They had to move 745 and it's train and the Milw Road Diner to make way for the crews putting in the piers for the bridge.
