Steam & Excursion > Perhaps my best at Speed Photo /PM 1225 (Second Week)Date: 10/23/06 22:44 Perhaps my best at Speed Photo /PM 1225 (Second Week) Author: Mgoldman Pere Marquette #1225 paced at speed near Boon, MI in August of '03.
No Photoshop effects here, the PM 2-8-4 has a painted look to it. Note the shack that appears to bow at the presence of this engine. BTW - it is expected that repair and maintenance of this engine will be wrapped up shortly and the Steam Railroading Institute is busy preparing for this holiday season with a series of (4) North Pole Express journeys later this year. Details forthcoming. /Mitch ![]() Date: 10/23/06 23:22 Re: Perhaps my best at Speed Photo Author: AndyD Uh...wow...that's purty...

You've got so many great pan and pace shots, how do you pick your favorite? Your black 4449 shot was fantastic, your QJ shot was fantastic, etc., etc.! Michael Allen Date: 10/24/06 12:23 Re: Perhaps my best at Speed Photo /PM 1225 (Second We Author: dmaffei Another Outstanding photo...But still like this one better:

Michael - I think it's from years and years of railfanning - y'know, you get to an area and before you are ready and a train whizzes by. Then you leave and as you are walking away another one whizzes by. I guess I just got used to turning around real fast to look at the trains I missed ; ) Date: 10/24/06 13:51 Re: Perhaps my best at Speed Photo /PM 1225 (Second We Author: nycman Looks like you have first and second place nailed, Mitch. You must be a member of SRI--I got my newsletter, too. Glad to hear that the 1225 will be up and running for the Polar Express (OOPS, can't say that, even for 1225) excursions.

Now if I could only learn to take pictures of trains that aren't moving... and yes, I'm a member of the SRI (Steam Railroading Institute). Hopefully I'll get a chance to see some TO members and the 1225 in snow, assuming I can get out of PA for a weekend. /Mitch Date: 10/24/06 17:21 Re: Perhaps my best at Speed Photo /PM 1225 (Second We Author: mikel OH WOWOWOWOWOW AGAIN !!
