Tried to go check out the #3751 at the Historical Society's website. Site was down. What is the current operational status of the #3751, and are there any trips planned in the future?

The website has been down and we are experiencing intermittent problems. When it is back up, and I don't know when that will be, check for updates on operations. I believe that the Educational Program at LAUPT in February as been announced.

There is now something on the SBHRS web site about the trip and display at LAUPT.

Got Steam? The 3751 will be fired up for a Rail Safety and Commuter Education Fair at LA Union Station from noon until 5 PM on Sunday, February 11. The private cars “Pony Express” and “Pacific Sands” will also be part of the consist. The event is taking place through the cooperation of Amtrak, Stan Garner, MTA, Metrolink, Operation Lifesaver, SBRHS, and Doug Spinn. The MTA will also have their “Experience” simulator on hand and SBRHS will have some new merchandise. The event will be taking place adjacent to Track 13. The area can be reached from the transit plaza on the east side of Union Station or from the south end of Track 12. Please stay on the pedestrian walkways to reach the event site and be mindful of nearby train arrivals and departures.
