I high tailed it up to Dunsmuir to find McRRR #25 escorting the World Fair Daylight across Butterfly Ave in Dunsmuir. The good old SP let her drop down into town for the festivities. Sporting two steam whistles and American flags, she did a great job welcoming the big Northern to town.

1) Rounding the curve neck & neck heading for Butterfly ave
2) Crossing Butterfly. those 80" drivers pass #25 easily.
3) 25 sits as 4449 gets a helper for the climb out of Dunsmuir

Very cool! Wish I could have seen that in person.

Nice shots Dave. You and I must have been standing nearly side by side. I rcall how the #25 quickly into the shadow of #4449.

It would take alot of searching but my dad and i were there standing in the middle and he should have a video of them passing us on either side
