Great video from the 1920s

Here's a great old silent film covering the building of the largest locomotive built in the Britsh Empire in 1928. This 4-8-4 was built by the Canadian Pacific Railway's Angus Shops in Montreal. Only 2 were built.

Great video! Really like the part that showed the air pumps with the caption "pumps to feed the thirsty boiler." Ahhhh, correct media exposure!

Yes, the pump on the left is a Westinghouse air pump, but the one on the right is an Elesco feedwater pump.

One of the criteria for vimeo submissions is that the content be original. Too bad, it was really neat.

I wonder if someone could get it thru the company that produced it. IIRC it was something like Interurban Films.
