I grew up in Montgomery so I never missed a time the 765 come through town. It also helped that my father was also fire chief in Montgomery during the early 90's as well.
Present time I'm very proud and lucky to serve on the engine crew of the 765! Now if there is someway I can ever get the chance to fire her through Montgomery....... My wife and I rode the last one, on Sunday (24th?) and made a late stop after dark in Montgomery. Our car host let me get out to take some video and it was quite an experience. Local firefighters serviced the water and a lot of local people were out to see the train, even though it had already made three trips the Saturday and weekend before. When we left Montgomery, that hooter whistle echoing as we went through the trees outside of town was mesmerizing.

Also about the picture, the grade crossing has since been removed and the signals will be coming down in the next few days. CSX has since put up new signals. R.I.P. C&O railroad!
