CVSR Steam in the Valley 2011 - NKP 765, my take on the
Author: blphoto

Had a good time on the CVSR, had some issues with crabby conductors, but manage to get some great shots. Here is my take on last Saturday and Sunday's full track tour. I rode Saturday (one way only) and chased it Sunday. I owe thanks to RAD and fellow professional foamers alike for assistance and directions in a territory I didnt know! Found some neat spots! -Brent

Photo7 - I wanted to get the whole train in this picture but that didnt happen. So I tweaked it and made it happen. I love moden technology!
Photo8 - NKP 765 leaving the CVSR Rockside Rd. Station at sunset.
Photo9 - Backing into Boston Mill for a photo run-by.

Thats all for now. Enjoy!

Nice shots! BTW, what exactly are the criteria for being considered a 'professional foamer' and what does the position pay?

Well, that question has been debated for many years. The title "professional foamer" is something that folks dont take lightly. They live, breathe, eat and sleep trains. To the point that every inch of their habitat is covered in a thick greasy foam. They are paid very little, in fact usually get hand me downs or freebies from the railroads themselves! They feed on hats, shirts, pins, lanterns etc... By getting real railroad gear, it makes them more of a official foamer.... Its free to join this group as well! However, most railroaders dislike the serious rail foamer thus, there must be levels of foaming. I wont get into that as it would take up valuale bandwidth.. Hope that awnsers your question!

Its a stub end! A way to get the majority of the train in the shot. Its a shopped pic.
