I have to say this is about the best pentrex steam video I've seen. The 765 sounded like a whole different animal with 33 cars behind her. Rich did an awesome job handling everything with the bad rail conditions.

It is a fantastic DVD.

The New River trips that were powered by 765 were awesome events. I feel fortunate to have ridden the last of the four in 1993 with 765 disguised as C&O 2765. 33 cars is right, and that Berk handled them nicely. I have that video, and as reported, it is excellent.

The fellow who produced and shot that show, Dan Hadley, did a helluva job, especially the cab ride sequence. Many have asked him how he did it - some even thought he'd brought a Steadicam on board. Nope - he just did it handheld with a wide-angle lens and the results speak for themselves. The older, larger cameras in use at that time were heavier and didn't bounce around like ping pong balls, unlike today's minicams. My favorite steam production of all.
