SLSF 3749 Bell mystery solved

The missing bell mystery has been solved. The City of Orlando removed the bell from SLSF 3749 for eventual display in the Sun Rail station at Church Street. How nice.

Maybe they only wanted what would require any upkeep?

I don't remember any of the appliances being on the engine when it sat for years at Southern Scrap in Pensacola, Fl.
Good chance the engine while in Orlando had replacement bell, headlight, number plate, etc.

I'd like to apologize to Billy the Bell Freak for shining that bright light in his eyes and running bamboo under his fingernails.
I was SURE he was holding out on me!

I'll deny the waterboarding.
