A couple selected images from the C&TS Geology Train on Sunday. My 8 year old son and I had an absolutely FANTASTIC time!

Can anybody tell me why the angle cock is open at the rear of the caboose? I've never seen that anywhere before.

It is connected to a tailhose, seen hanging from the brakewheel, with an air gauge just below the top safety chain.

If she'd been turned around there would have been a pair of cabooses in that shot.

Thanks for the info, Larry. I didn't see the tailhose because of the shadows but now I know exactly where to look.
