A couple selected images from the C&TS Geology Train on Sunday. My 8 year old son and I had an absolutely FANTASTIC time!

I like the geologist in the red sweater!

Can anybody tell me why the angle cock is open at the rear of the caboose? I've never seen that anywhere before.

It is connected to a tailhose, seen hanging from the brakewheel, with an air gauge just below the top safety chain.

Yeah Pat, the 0-2-0 with the skirt caught my eye too...

If she'd been turned around there would have been a pair of cabooses in that shot.

They did not make them like that when I was in geology school (at least not the geology majors, that is)

Thanks for the info, Larry. I didn't see the tailhose because of the shadows but now I know exactly where to look.
