I so much wanted to be there, but I hate it when work gets in the way. Hopefully I do the winter shoot again this year.

and the video was definitely eye opening!! A perfect example of 7/24/365 railroading Rain or Shine!!!! Mike Date: 10/25/12 04:11 Re: Western Maryland Scenic Photo Special Author: andersonb109 Very nice. Steam as it should be. No diesel or yellow vests to mess things up. I've done three of Carl's WM charters and would recommend them to anyone interested in photographing steam with a nearly prototypical consist.

Thanks to Mr. Franz and and the Western Maryland Scenic for making it all possible. Sorry I missed this year... I've gone for the last 3 years straight and had a blast each time. I especially liked the photos of John Helmstetter on the tractor pulling the wagon--well done! Date: 10/27/12 05:59 Re: Western Maryland Scenic Photo Special Author: hoydie17 I just got confirmation from the WMSR that I'll be doing more night photos for them in December. They liked last year's photos so much, they're hoping for another batch for this year to frame and hang in the coaches.
Unfortunately, my work schedule only allows me one weekend this year, where last year I was able to get two in. Nice photos... Date: 10/27/12 07:12 Re: Western Maryland Scenic Photo Special Author: jmbreitigan Those are some breathtaking photos. Thanks for sharing. Love all the smoke. congratulations on IOTD.

Date: 10/27/12 11:54 Re: Western Maryland Scenic Photo Special Author: Phil1 For about 99% of us this is a once in a lifetime video. Thanks for the shots of this without the Amtrak or host road's loco in the train. The fall colors finished it up nice. Some of the other stills could make good calendar or post card shots.
