And before Tobyhanna - CN 3254 at Nay Aug and Moscow
Author: Mgoldman

Complimenting Ed's photos below - as well as what he posted in the
Eastern Board: http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/list.php?2

Here are two from Sunday's trip to Gouldsboro which saw the train
through to Toby to pick up the diesel which did not follow the
train on the rear. Lovely weather... but a good time to be had
anytime one finds themselves trackside to witness CN #3254 roar
by. Nothing like MAINLINE steam!

First - Nay Aug Tunnel

Second - Signal Bridge at Moscow

Great shots Mitch. Lots of "mood" in them.

Very nice, Mitch. Many years ago there was a spot above the Elmhurst reservoir where you could get shots looking down on the train as it passed. Is that site still available? It was right on the road to Moscow.

Not to my knowledge, Jim - it's all tree'd in. Spent
a long time looking for it and closest I've found
was a spot trackside ahead of reservoir wall that a
chain saw would be most welcome. At that particular
spot, only 3 trees block what would be a nice little
vista.

Sorry I didn't get to meet you Mitch, my friend did say he talked with you, as I was parked behind you at Gouldsboro.

I saw your truck, waited a bit and couldn't figure what
was taking you so long to get out! Figured you'd make
it up to the gate to shoot with us.

Maybe this weekend, if we each keep our plans for another
"mostly cloudy" event.
