Anyone Heard from Bob Callahan?
Author: nycman

Bob, a regular here, (rcall31060) and I finally got to meet each other in person on the 4449 Deschutes Steam Special last month. I have not seen any messages from Bob since. I certainly hope he is all right.

My old man is fine, but if I know him he is still recovering from post election blues figuring out his next move. LOL, he'll emerge soon enough. Somebody just needs to post a technical question comparing NYC Niagara's to N & W J class 4-8-4's or something like that. That would probably help. For the record I'd take the J over all northerns for any job on any stretch of rail. Niagara is a close second. I'll let the the old timers get on with the technicals.

I have one, I have one!!

What is the cutoff percentage difference at a given high speed, say 80mph, between the Niagara with 79" drivers and the J with 70" drivers.....!!
