"Hog Town" station
- no, not a clue. Anyone know where this name came from?

Ringoes, NJ - at Toad Lane
- probably a lot like she'd have looked in the late 60's at the BR&W

Ringoes - just a bit closer and wider.

I saw on Google that the right of way was still visible from Ringoes, NJ
back to Lambertville, NJ across the river from New Hope. Thought I'd
explore it but it was very much overgrown - and likely full of tics so
I passed until I came to these two spots:

By Route 202 where the line split - one way went to Easton (home of the
Bel-Del 2-8-2 #142) and the other way to Ringoes (home of BR&W #60).
Odd there was never a connection to Reading's New Hope branch - but
then again, maybe not.

Lambertville - that way! And eventually, Trenton, NJ.

And then there's the Lambertville Station:

Built in 1867, the two-and-a-half story Lambertville Station served as
the headquarters of the Belvidere Delaware Railroad serving customers on
the local lines from Belvidere to Trenton, NJ. In the late 1800's, the
PRR took over the line and instituted service through to New England.

At one time, the tracks behind the station not only connected to the
Bel-Del but also to the CNJ in Flemmington, NJ, home of the BR&W. New
Hope's railroad is across the river and the lines would have dueling
whistles when both steam trains were in town! Conrail had since pulled
quite a bit of the ROW.

The station is now a very well known restaurant.

Belvidere - whadda ya know, it is a place, lol.

It's about 12 miles northeast of Phillipsburg, NJ.
Phillipsburg, NJ is just West of both Easton and
Allentown, PA.

Looks like the line is still in tact and in use
thanks to some industry, though the line terminates
or rather? starts in Belvidere connecting with NS
in Phillipsburg.

Thanks, Mitch. Didn't take long to restore her back to Black River, eh? I still say she looks good with that light colored smokebox. Only time I visited BR&W back in 1995, I went down in the farmer's field to the left of your last two shots. He came along, and I asked his permission to shoot from down there. He said, "Sure, most people don't even ask." I am kicking myself for only shooting video (VHS at that) or I would have some stills to contrast with yours. I am pretty sure the smokebox was black then.

Unlike New Hope - the engine was back to BR&W right
after the magnets came off. They liked the idea of
the silver /aluminum colored smoke box so that stayed.

She looks pretty close to how she looked when they
first got her - including the silver smoke box.

I like it - must easier to photograph and I even think
the silver makes the engine look bigger - bolder.

Now if we could only find a more scenic stretch to run
her!

BR&W's PRR Doodlebug - would love to see this in operation once again.

'Course, I could always head to the Wilmington & Western, but I think
the PRR actually ran these along the ROW at the BR&W.
